Who we are
This website is run by The Fire Safety Co. Limited (“The Fire Safety Company”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 04994653. Our registered office is Stagecoach House, Gatherley Road, Brompton-on-Swale, North Yorkshire, DL10 7JF.

What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we collect your name, your phone number and/or email address, your company name if you give it, the service you are interested in and your message. We use these details only to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to give you a quote. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
When you call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we use your details in the same way, to deal with what you have asked for.
If you become a customer, we keep your contact and job details in our customer management system to deliver and invoice our services and to meet our legal and insurance obligations.
We never sell your details, and we do not use them for marketing unless you have asked us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 6 months and then delete them, unless the enquiry leads to work. If it does, your details move to our customer records and are kept for as long as we work for you and then for as long as the law requires (for example, 6 years for accounting records).
Who sees it
Your enquiry is seen by our own staff only. It is sent to us by email, so it passes through the service providers that run our website and email:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes the contact form.
- Resend, which sends the contact-form message from the website to our inbox.
- Our email providers, which store our email (Microsoft 365).
These companies act on our instructions and are not allowed to use your details for their own purposes. Some of them may store data outside the UK; where they do, they use the safeguards required by UK law.
Cookies and third-party content
This website does not use advertising cookies. It only uses analytics cookies if you choose to accept them in the cookie box that appears when you first visit. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page.
- Website statistics (only if you accept): we use Google Analytics, set up through Google Tag Manager, to see which pages are visited and how people find us. Google sets cookies (their names start with
_ga) and receives your IP address and some technical details. Nothing from Google loads unless you click Accept. If you click Reject, we count nothing about you through Google. - Visitor counts (Cloudflare Web Analytics): Cloudflare, which hosts the website, gives us basic counts of visits and page views. Cloudflare says this service does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors across websites.
- Spam check on the contact form (Cloudflare Turnstile): when you start filling in the contact form, Cloudflare runs a check to tell people from automated programs. Cloudflare receives some technical details about your browser for this. It is not used for advertising.
- Videos and maps: our videos (hosted on Vimeo) and our Google map only load when you click them. Once loaded, Vimeo or Google may set their own cookies. Until you click, nothing is sent to them.
- Google reviews: the reviews box is provided by Trustindex, which loads our Google reviews from its own servers.
- WhatsApp: the WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, which is run by Meta under its own privacy policy.

Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit using it. You can also object to how we use it. To do any of these, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date it was last updated is shown on this page.
