A sprinkler system can control a fire before the fire service arrives, but only if it works. Valves get closed by mistake, pumps fail to start and pipework corrodes. Regular maintenance finds these faults before a fire does.
Your insurer is likely to require evidence that your sprinkler system is maintained. Commercial systems are usually maintained under BS EN 12845, with checks at set intervals through the year.
What we check
- Control valves are open and secured
- Water supply pressures and alarm valve operation
- Pumps, including automatic start-up
- Sprinkler heads for damage, paint or obstructions
- Alarm signals to the fire panel or monitoring centre
What you get
A service record for your insurer and fire safety file, and a written list of any faults with a quote to put them right.
